Why I’ve moved to Google Chrome

Applications

I remember the first time i installed version 5 of . When i opened it everything looked so simple, down to the bone (well…not for me because i’m vegetarian :-) ) but most of all it was loading very FAST.

Having a better look at it….what looked simple and minimalistic had an enormous amount and flexibility, customization and tools. But since old habits die hard…i went back to my Safari….mainly because some site i would regularly visit wouldn’t support Chrome and also because on Safari i have my 1Password button installed….and there’s NO way i can survive without that.

I kept upgrading Chrome from version to version….used the DEVeloper versions and the browser grew under my skin. The browser is now (almost) stable and still the fastest on the market. It has some wicked extensions like or to name a couple i use a lot.

For those who never tried it, i would definitely RECOMMEND it. Here are in synthesis my main reasons:

  • You will be up and running in just a few seconds once downloaded, you can of course import bookmarks from other browsers on your system.
  • This is by far the fastest loading web browser I have used. Once I click on the Chrome icon the average loading time is around 1 second, now that is fast!
  • Viewing web pages is a great experience, it is very quick to load web pages from start to finish.
  • There is an amazing selection of themes available for Google Chrome, via the .
  • There is a huge selection of Extensions available for Google Chrome, you can view them via the .
  • No need to visit the Adobe website to install Flash Player after you have installed Google Chrome, it comes as standard.

Therefore if you want to give it a try, . And enjoy it!

I also cannot live without 1Pasword.
After many attempts to download / delete I still cannot get an Icon for 1 Password.
I get the “spanner” for 1Password but it wil not allow “filling”.
    Gave up after great frustration.
Now back to Firefox / Safari.

If you open 1Password preferences, then select Browsers…right at the bottom of the window you’ll see “Install Google Chrome Extension”
