Sony hacked, million account details on Pirate Bay

You must have already read it on the news that Sony has been hacked again. Yes…but we’ve lost count now how many times that happened since the first attach to the PlayStation Network. I’m actually starting to feel sorry for Sony now.

Sony is busy investigating how the LulzSec hacking group stole 1 million account data: “We are looking into these claims,” Jim Kennedy, a spokesman for Sony Pictures Entertainment, said yesterday in an e-mailed statement.

The LulzSec group claimed that they were able to breach the system with a “very simple SQL injection” attack. Which is how the got into the database the first time, over a month ago. Although Sony said that the data were encrypted, the hackers are saying that a good part of it was not.

The group released samples of their stolen goods on Pirate Bay which are reportedly all real, including passwords.

LulzSec has just posted a couple of Tweets on the matter…it seems that are intending to carry on…
