Garmin released on Tuesday their navigation system for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.
The two applications released by Garmin will cover the USA or the whole of North America.
The world leader for GPS navigation devices, promises the best GPS navigation even if there’s no cell coverage. The maps will all reside on your iPhone or iPad, in fact the applications are 1.37GB (US) and 1.61GB (North America).
Garmin navigation will offer all the classical features you would expect from a classical GPS navigation tool including turn-by-turn voice-prompted directions, petrol stations, restaurants, ATM, 3D buildings and landmarks and a lot more.
The app has been designed exclusively for iOS powered devices, the app is intuitive and simple to use.
Both Garmin apps are also including Google local search as well as red-light and speed cameras locations.
The USA version maps are covering 49 states and they exclude Alaska and the islands (Bahamas, Puerto Rico, Virgin Island etc). The price is $39.99

The North America version includes United States, Canada, Mexico, Plus Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, The Bahamas, French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Saint Barthélemy, and Jamaica. The price is $49.99

It’s important to note that this app is NOT good for iPods Touches with an extrernal GPS receiver. Neither is the TomTom GPS app.

I want to know whether the Garmin North America app includes real-time traffic information for driving in Mexico City.
