Another day another iPhone 5 rumor regarding its release.
I know lots of you are disliking the rumor mill and all this murmuring.
On the other hand, we don’t report all we hear or read on the Web. We never reported that the iPhone 5 will be launched in October because we’ve always believed in an early September unveiling with end September shipping.
On Wednesday the Taiwanese DigiTimes, that normally is a reliable source of information, confirmed that one of Apple‘s iPhone 5 manufacturers, Pegatron, has landed orders for 10 million units iPhone 5 and shipments will begin in September.
And there are other factors pointing to September:
Apple’s new iOS 5, that will power the iPhone 5, is already at the 4th Beta release and expected towards September.
iCloud is, since Monday, also in beta and ready to roll out.
AT&T is denying vacation at the end of September due to a ‘event blackout’. Same thing that happened when the Verizon was launched in February.
The China Times reported on July 28, that suppliers were preparing a trial run of 400,000 units and they pointed at the second week of September.
A manager from the Swiss carrier Swisscom revealed few weeks ago that Apple had already made plans with European carriers for an early October release. Bare in mind that devices are always released a few weeks later in Europe.
Last night, the Guardian reported that some of their sources confirmed the iPhone 5 being shipped in sealed boxes and incased in dummy body has been received by the carriers so that they can carry out checks on their network compatibility in their labs.
