If you either live in Northern California, or have some free time and feel like doing a little traveling to get together with other Mac enthusiasts, on October 1st the North Coast Mac Users Group (NCMUG) is hosting the 18th consecutive annual Mac Computer Expo (MC) at the Petaluma Community Center. If you’ve considered joining a MUG, rubbing shoulders with other Mac users and swapping stories, or just need something pleasant and informing to do that day, and you’re going to be in the Bay Area, the event will be held from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Over two dozen vendors have been invited by the NCMUG, offering programs and information on the most recent products from Apple, and also showing off their wares for purchase by attendees. Scheduled speakers will include Chris Breen, Jeff Carlson, Adam Christianson, and many more. The displays will include Bert Monroy‘s 25ft depiction of New York’s Time Square created with Photoshop, along with many more companies getting in on the fun including Boinx Software, The Data Rescue Center, Macworld, Goodwill Industries, to name a few from the long list. A raffle drawing will be held every hour, and SellYourMac will be on location to assist you in selling your old Mac gear.
The Petaluma Commity Center is located at 320 McDowell Road in Petaluma. Admission and parking will be free. Come one, come all, and bring your family, your friends, a fellow employee or even your boss, and lay some love on Mac! See map below for directions.
