The iPhone 5 has yet to be released and Samsung is already planning its patent attack.
The lawsuit war between Apple and the South Korean electronic giant is nowhere close to a settlement: according to a report by the Korea Times, Samsung senior officials are confirming the company’s intention to use its basic mobile telecom patents to hit Apple’s much-anticipated iPhone 5.
Samsung is very confident that the Cupertino-based giant will not be able to dodge the blow.
The war between the two currently sees Apple as a winner: so far Samsung has been banned from retailing its Galaxy Tab in Germany and had to delay the launch of the exact same tablet in Australia.
On the smartphones’ front, Samsung has to modify its Galaxy S II handset after Apple won an injunction in Europe.
Apple and Samsung are currently engaged in 23 pending lawsuits in 3 different continents and by the sound of it, we’ll see a lot more in the coming months.
