Bitcasa is a new unlimited cloud storage service that will soon be available to all.
Founded by former employees of Mastercard, VeriSign and Mozy, Bitcasa offers infinite storage paired with best in class security via client-side encryption.
The service will allow you to store over the cloud all the data you have in your laptop or desktop giving you total freedom to access them from any computer and from any location.
Same as with Dropbox, the cloud service can be used for file sharing too and there are no size restrictions.
Bitcasa will launch its beta service soon and you can go to this page and leave your email if you’d like to find out more and to try the unlimited service.
With Apple about to launch the iCloud service, I figure we’ll see more cloud storage services in the near future. Apple recently tried to acquire Dropbox for an alleged $800 million but the company declined.
