On Tuesday Mozilla released its finished version of Firefox 7 for all platforms.
Since came into the browsing scene, Mozilla has adopted a similar fast track schedule that focuses on faster and more efficient performances.
According to the release note, Firefox 7 will use 20 to 50 percent less memory as well as cutting back on memory leaks that I’ve notices version 6 being affected quite badly compared to version 5.
The memory improvement has been achieved with a new feature that once you close a tab, the memory that the tab was occupying is now immediately made free.
The next major revision will come within 6 weeks. Rumors are that Mozilla will return to its slow release rhythm but hasn’t said when it’s going to happen.
