Readiris is a newly released application for iPad that has really impressed us and therefore decided to make it ‘Application of the Week’.

Readiris is a great productivity tool that will allow you to edit a scanned document as well as a PDF file.

The application is easy to use and does what was not possible before: you can import a scanned document or a PDF from your library and Readiris will recognize the language of the text (over 130 different languages supported), the images, graphics etc.

You can then edit your new documents, touch-up the images and save your work either in PDF, DOCX or other output formats available.
The new documents can be emailed or shared over the Cloud using Dropbox, Google docs or MobileMe.
The app is available from the App Store for $37.99
