Now that Apple has released its much-anticipated iOS 5, we can go ahead and jailbreak it, can’t we?

The Dev-Team has released its redsn0w 0.9.9b5 for Mac, to jailbreak all devices supported by the firmware except for iPad 2.

The jailbreak is tethered for all devices, meaning you still have to plug-in your device in the computer when you are restarting it, except for iPhone 3GS old bootrom which is untethered.

Redsn0w 0.9.9b5 will effectively jailbreak iPhone 4 (GSM), iPhone 3GS, iPad 1st generation and iPod touch 3rd and 4th generation.

Here you can find all the direct download links for iOS 5 and remember that you need iTunes 10.5 to upgrade to iOS 5.

All you need to do is to plug in the device and click on the jailbreak button. Redsn0w will do the rest.
