Rumors of a thinner slimline redesigned MacBook Pro are surfacing again after one site reported that Apple has finalized its development of a MacBook Air 15′ LCD.

This could be the indication of Apple introducing a larger model of its hugely popular MacBook Air to the already existing 11-inch and 13-inch, or, which is what everybody is hoping, Apple redesigning the MacBook Pro line to look like the Air line.

To allow the thinner design, the Air-like MacBook Pro will perhaps ditch the optical drive and replace the HD with a Solid State Drive.

Whichever way Jony Ive will decide to design the new MacBook Pro line, we don’t think that it will happen before year’s end. A ‘Asian source’ used by the Macotakara website, says that the new laptop is edging very close towards production, but we shouldn’t expect it before 2012.
