Siegler said that the app has been submitted to Apple for review and if approved it should be available soon.

According to some tipsters who have seen the app at work, “pretty fantastic…perhaps even surprisingly so.”

One of the key features of the new Gmail app will be a push notification feature as well as “contact icons, better threading, deep searching functionality,”  and possibly a Google+ integration. Bring it on!
