Today is the lucky day for those who still have an iPod nano (1st generation). If the iPod hasn’t overheated and exploded yet in your pocket, Apple will replace it.
Because of a manufacturing defect found in the popular Apple MP3 music player, the models built between Sept. 2005 and Jan. 2006 are eligible for replacement.
Apple has already announced it via its website and emails have been already sent out to registered owners.
If you have one of the defected iPod nano, this is the link to the replacement program and this is for Apple’s exchange and repair extension program.
