You certainly remember the iPhone 5 hype when we were waiting for Apple to release the iPhone 4 successor. Indeed there was a completely redesigned, thinner and teardrop shaped iPhone 5 about to be launched but one month before the release, Apple ditched it.
According to sources close to Business Insider, Apple was working on the revolutionary iPhone that has a 4-inch (diagonal) screen, an aluminum back, a touch-based home button, a tapered design and a 10-MP camera.
Just like the ‘liquid metal’ technology used for the iPod shuffles, sources say Apple wanted to use the same technology to make multi colored iPhones.
The source also revealed that the iPhone 5 prototype was featuring a nicer screen with better colors but “the device had a “messed up” color profile while in testing.”
A month before the launch Apple had to repair the situation and quickly upgraded the iPhone 4 into the 4S model.
Is the iPhone 5 still coming? We hope so but who knows.
