Earlier today we’ve told you about ‘s tablet Kindle Fire that was going to be released tomorrow, Tuesday.
The Seattle-based e-retailer has just announced that the much-hyped Kindle Fire is already available, 24 hours earlier than the world was expecting it.
“We’re thrilled to be able to ship Kindle Fire to our customers earlier than we expected. Kindle Fire quickly became the bestselling item across all of Amazon.com, and based on customer response we’re building millions more than we’d planned,” said Dave Limp, Vice President, Amazon Kindle. “Customers are excited about Kindle Fire because it is a premium product at the non-premium price of only $199.”
I’m liking Amazon’s business philosophy more and more.
For now the Android powered 7-inch tablet is available only in the US and can be purchased .
According to Amazon’s press release, the Kindle Fire is already the best selling item on Amazon.com.
Amazon is facing a difficult task competing with Apple App Store but it seems that Amazon’s app store is not doing too bad either:
