Amazon’s Fire is finally going on sale tomorrow in the US and expectations for the 7-inch tablet are very. Many in the industry believe that the Kindle Fire in the long-run, may pose a threat to Apple’s iPad.
Amazon’s new tablet has a sleek design, a better-than-before and a super competitive price that is targeting a totally virgin market.
I still haven’t tried it, but according to the very positive reviews I’ve read and the people who tested it, the Kindle Fire has a beautifully smooth, simple and intuitive interface and an exclusive Amazon Silk browser that learns your browsing patterns and pre-loads the pages faster than other browsers.
At $200 a unit, Amazon’s tablet is on a totally different price bracket compared to Apple’s tablet. The Kindle Fire will not affect much the sales of Apple’s iPad in the beginning….but if Amazon’s tablet becomes a sensation, which is totally possible, Apple will have a hard time and may have to reconsider its pricing policy for future iPads.
Think about it: you go to the store, you like the tablet and it costs only $200. What do you do? You buy it right? The $500 that the iPad would cost you, what do you do? You think about it before buying it.
This could be the last day for Apple’s iPad supremacy. A good healthy competition can only make things better for consumers. And there’s still the 10-inch Amazon tablet that will allegedly come in the first quarter 2012 that can stir the tablet market further. Exciting times ahead of us!
