Earlier this week Google launched its new Google Music service but if you live outside the US the service will not be available for you.
Here’s a tutorial that will show you how to simply trick Google’s server and allow users from any country around the world to use the free Google Music service.
Using this method you’ll basically login Google Music using a US channel so that Google will let you register. Once registered you’ll not need to go through the proxy.
The tutorial works for Mac, Linux and Windows users. All you need is an internet connection and a Gmail account (can be created later if you don’t have it now).
How to use Google Music from any country outside the US
First you need to get Tor: a network of virtual tunnels used by the military that allows you to browse anonymously and securely the web.
1-Download the Tor bundle on your computer and install it.
2-Launch it and after a few seconds you’ll see the Vidalia Control Panel and a green onion that says ‘Connected to the Tor network’.
The browser will also be configured at the same time. Close the browser’s window.
3-Click on View the Network.
4-Under Relay, on the left, select one US node near the top. Right click and select Copy > Fingerprint.
5-Go back to the Vidalia Control Panel and click Settings > Advanced > Edit Current Torrc
6-A window like this will open
7-At the very top add the following and replace the XXX by Paste(ing) the Fingerprint copied before
StrictExitNodes 1
8-It should look like this
9-Click Ok and quit Tor for the changes to take place.
10-Relaunch Tor and when the integrated browser opens you can login to https://music.google.com
11-Enter your Gmail address and password, agree to the terms and conditions and your are good to go.
Once your account is set up, you don’t need to use Tor’s integrated browser to login. It can be done from your normal browser. You can also remove the Tor app if you don’t want to keep it.
Have fun.
