In case you haven’t heard it yet, the much-anticipated Infinity Blade II is now available from the iTunes App Store.
The game is universal, meaning that it will work on both iPad and iPhone but the truth is that the sequel of the hugely popular Infinity Blade was actually designed to push to the limit Apple’s A5 dual-core processor present in the iPhone 4S and in the iPad 2.
Why am I telling you this? Because on iPhone 4 with iOS 5.0.1 the game from time to time it glitches. Even if you close all apps and reboot your device, it glitches and it’s very annoying.
From a quick search I’ve made around some forums, it appears that especially iPhone 4 with iOS 5.0.1 is suffering from this issue. Some iPad (1st generation) owners are also having crashing issues but not as severe as the glitching problem.
I’m personally suspecting that the issue is actually iOS 5 and not the hardware, but I thought that before you spend $7 on the game, you should know this.
ChAIR Entertainment says that the game is also compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPod touch (3rd and 4th generation) and iPad.
The game itself is spectacular: obviously similar to the original one but the 3D graphics of this second version are truly console-like quality.
Infinity Blade was one of the most lucrative game yet ($20 million) and the sequel looks like will follow the steps of its predecessor.
