Free Applications

A couple of good free apps are available for a limited time from the Mac App Store:

Glance News: a very nice news and RSS reader for OS X Lion users. The polished app looks very similar to Pulse for iOS devices.

Under one window you can have all your feeds, you can manage your subscriptions, read your favorite daily news or archive them for later read.

Usually the app sells for $10 but it’s free for a limited time.

Miro: you’ve probably heard of this award-winning application before. Miro is a good video player and converter for the most popular video formats such as AVI, XVID, WMV, MP4, WebM, OGG Theora, MKV, FLV and more.

On top of that you can download videos, music, podcasts and you can also stream and share music. Great app. Usually $0.99
