After Tuesday’s release of redsn0w for untethered jailbreak of iOS 5.0.1, the Chronic Dev team has released an updated version of the tool on Wednesday.
redsn0w 0.9.10b2 addresses the launchctl issue, which is an application that assists redsn0w to load and unload daemons. Because of this issue, some Cydia apps that relied on daemons weren’t working well with iOS 5.0.1 untethered.
Those who have already jailbroken their device using the previous version of redsn0w are recommended to run redsn0w 0.9.10b2 over the existing jailbreak UN-SELECTING ‘Install Cydia‘.
If you are jailbreaking your iPhone 4, 3GS, iPod touch (3rd-4th generation) or iPad (1st generation) for the first time, use this redsn0w 0.9.10b2
