On Saturday Appologics released a free version of its very popular video surveillance application for iPhones, iPods and iPads, AirBeam Lite.

AirBeam is capable of streaming video in realtime between any number of Apple handheld devices and Mac computers, as long as on a Wi-Fi network.
The video image is really good for a realtime camera and has a resolution up to 640×480 at 30 frames per second.

The surveillance application can be used for a number of things such as a replacement for babyphones, checking on your baby-sitter when you are out or even keeping an eye on your wife when you are at work (I didn’t say that!).

AirBeam Lite is free and universal app and can be downloaded from the iTunes App Store
