The other day a friend who recently bought an iPad asked me how to transform movie’s size and format to be able to watch them on the iPad.

There are quite a few apps out there that can do that…but I suggest you instead a free app that will require no conversion or anything else.

Flex:Player, available also for iPhone and iPod touch, does not require any conversion, supports most commonly used video and audio formats and it’s a really solid apps.

How to transfer a movie or to your iPad/iPhone

- Download Flex:Player

- Once you’ve downloaded and installed the free app on your device, plug it into your computer and launch iTunes.

- Select the device from the left-hand pane

- Click on Apps on the top of the screen (under the iTunes display)

- Scroll down and you will see File Sharing

- Select FlexPlayer and drag your media (movies, music, etc) from your computer into the window where it says FlexPlayer Documents
