Free Applications

wazeThe very popular Waze for iPhone and iPad devices has just been updated and it’s now supporting hands-free operations, which means that you can use voice commands to share road events and a new turn-to-turn speech ability (only US and Canada).

If you are new to Waze, you should check it out! The free app is a combination of a traffic a navigation app with a social network. By joining the local Waze driving community, you will take advantage and hopefully contribute via instant messages to traffic information, road reports, police traps and speed traps, heavy traffic or hazards.

The way it works is pretty easy: enter your destination and start driving with the app open. This will already passively contribute to traffic and other data, or you could actively contribute by sharing detailed road reports on accidents and other.

Waze GPS & traffic – Social, fun! is free and available from the iTunes App Store.
