After last week’s news that Apple will possibly launch the iPad 3 during the first week of March, sales of the popular tablet have probably slowed down.
If you don’t mind not having the latest iPad model, this is probably a good time to shop for deals on the Apple’s tablet.
The first retailer that decided to slash the iPad 2 price is the US-based Meijer that is offering the iPad 2 16GB Wi-Fi model for $429, which is $70 below the usual price. Their offer lasts until Feb. 25 and is available only in stores.
This would make it a perfect V-Day present if you are short of ideas but not short of cash.
It wouldn’t surprise me if other retailers that wants to clear their iPad 2 stock ahead of the refresh, will also start offering discounted prices during the course of the week. I’ve looked at other retailers but so far this is the only one that discounts the tablet, but as soon as we find out other deals, we’ll let you know.
