All iDevice users have at least once lost their media on their iPhone or iPad, because they’ve plugged it into a friend’s computer…and pressed Sync. Surprise! Your library is gone! Well, at least now you know it, a device can only be synchronized to one iTunes…unless you’re jailbroken.

If you have a jailbroken device you could install a new Cydia tweak called MultiTunes that will allow you to sync the device with multiple libraries. Yes!! And the tweak is free!

Launch Cydia, search and install MultiTunes which is available from the BigBoss repo. After installation you’ll see a new icon on your device’s Springboard. If you want to sync the device with another iTunes library, launch the app, tap the ‘+’ button on the top right and give a name to the new library. Sync the device and that’s it!! Your Default Library will be untouched and under Additional Libraries you’ll have the new ones.

IMPORTANT: Before downloading content from the iTunes or App Store apps, make sure your default library is selected in this app. Otherwise, your content may not download properly.

MultiTunes is a VERY useful tweak that I strongly recommend.
