Vimeo, the popular video-sharing website has released an important update of its iOS app.
After realizing that as much as 15% of Vimeo’s total traffic was coming from mobile devices, the company has put a lot more effort in resigning the app and finally added support for the iPad that was left out from the previous version. Although I haven’t tried the app on the iPhone, the iPad version looks really good.
This new version lets users browse through videos while watching one, which is useful when you want to find new videos, but in my opinion it could slow down the buffering of the video you are intending to watch, if your are not using a fast connection. This newer version also allows you to shoot video from your iOS device, edit it, create projects and even buy and incorporate licensed music from the Vimeo Music Store.
The free and universal version of Vimeo can be downloaded from the App Store
