Apple has just sent out the invitations for the launch of the iPad 3 (or iPad HD, or another name that so far hasn’t been revealed).

As previously announced, the event will be held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco at 10AM PST, on Wednesday, March 7th.

The invitation says:

We have something you really have to see. And touch.

On the invitation’s picture an iPad and a Calendar app icon that looks to me a lot more Retina-like than the current one on the iPad 2. You can see it from the Calendar font how defined it is.
This goes to say that the iPad 3 will indeed have an HD display.

If you are planing to upgrade your tablet still haven’t sold your iPad, you better move quick.
