Another day, another interesting tweak for jailbroken Apple devices.
The one I suggest you to look at today is called SpeakEvents. The tweak will essentially make your device speak and allows you to select the apps where you would like to have the speaking feature activated.
After installing the tweak, which is available from the BigBoss repo for $2.15, you need to configure it from the Settings app.
SpeakEvents can be enabled with Messages, Mail, or to read any apps notification. A Siri-like voice will then read you any unread message as it arrives. But you could also set the app to speak the time, or set specific operations at a set time.
Although I think that one dollar would have been better price tag, the tweak works nicely on my 4S and gives the user lots more hand-free time. Although the tweak is a good companion to Siri, it’s not required.
To download SpeakEvents, launch your Cydia, search for it, purchase via PayPal and install.
