Once again, after yesterday’s report about the new MacBook Pro models allegedly coming in April, the Taiwanese publication website DigiTimes published today more questionable rumors coming from their usual ‘upstream supply chain’.
A Thursday report says that Apple’s next generation iPad (that they call iPad 3) will only come in 16GB and 32GB…no more 64GB.
In addition to that they say that “Apple is also expected to unveil an 8GB iPad 2, allowing the tablet PC series to cover different segments and to defend against Windows 8-based tablet PCs
In another report the publication stated that Apple will lower the prices of its 16GB and 32GB iPad 2 models by $50 to $449 and 549 respectively.
The alleged 8GB iPad 2 set to release during the March 7th event, will have a price range between $349-399.
As usual guys, DigiTimes seems to be telling quite a few fibs lately. In my opinion we’ll still have the 64GB tablet, since they are still representing a good 15% of the total sold iPad…and regarding the other reports…I’ll leave it to you to decide.
