Textual IRC Client is a software program used to connect to an Internet Relay Chat network.

Textual is the closest we’ve seen to mIRC which is a very popular Windows only IRC client. The application is light weight and was created with simplicity in mind and specifically for Mac OS X.

Its developers said that they’ve taken the best of IRC and built it into single client.  Textual is indeed very easy to use and ideal for a novice, but on the same right, the scripting support makes it ideal for advance users too.

Textual normally sells for $4.99 but at present it’s free. The developers are not saying how long for the app will be free.
