Mozilla has officially released on Tuesday their latest open-source browser Firefox 6.
The browser promises to be at least 20 percent faster than the previous version and has an improved start-up time of tab groups in Panorama because tab are only loaded when selected. Panorama is the capacity to glance at open tabs from an elegant bird’s eye view.
Firefox 6 also has a new URL bar, that “highlights a website’s domain name and the identity block is more prominent to help quickly identify where you are on the Web.” reports the Mozilla Blog.
Lastly, this new version has a new important feature for Web Developers.
The browser has a new “Web Developer” menu that “provides easy access to tools that help developers build and debug websites directly in the browser. Developers will enjoy the new Scratchpad tool, which makes it simple to quickly enter, execute, test and refine JavaScript snippets in Firefox without needing to work in a one-line console. The Web Console is improved with an auto-complete feature and the ability to customize the console’s location to save developers time.”
