Samsung has revealed prices for its stunning new Galaxy Note 5.3-inch phone-tablet hybrid launched last week in Berlin during the IFA.
On the European market the handset will be sold €549 ($780) without a contract and €200 ($281) with a contract with one of the European mobile carriers.
Given the BOM (bill of materials) which is higher than an average high-end smartphone, Samsung is probably prepared to accept a smaller profit in order to promote its unique smartphone format to the market.
According to Samsung, the Galaxy Note featuring a 5.3 inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, will not be released in the US market. But I wouldn’t take this as a due fact because Samsung’s personnel tends to say the company has ‘no plans’ until when there’s an official plan.
The Samsung Galaxy note also features a 1.4 GHz dual core processor, 1GB of RAM, one back-facing HD 8MP camera and a rear and a front 2MP camera for video chatting.
