Very soon we’ll start seeing iPad 2 coming out of the new Foxconn‘s plant outside San Paolo, Brazil.
Aloizio Mercadante, Minister of the Brazilian Science and Technology department, confirmed that the Chinese-owned Jundiai‘ factory plant is ready to be opened and by December the assembled in Brazil’ iPad 2 will be hitting the global market.
According to the local Tecnologia the Minister said during a hearing with the Commission of Economic Affairs: “At first many doubted, but it will be the first time that the company will produce iPads outside Chinese territory. We are taking a big step for digital inclusion in the country.”
Foxconn will have substantial economical benefit by manufacturing in South America because the government won’t levy taxes on domestically produced products.
