No need to buy expensive guitar tuners if you own an iPad. There’s a new free application called The Acoustic Guitar Tuner HD that does exactly that.

The tuner is efficient and it proved accurate when compared to conventional tuners.

The use of it is simple: on your screen you see a sound hole of a generic six strings guitar. Pick on the string and it start vibrating. The sound of it is really good. It sounds like a good Martin Guitar.

Now you can tune your own guitar on a standard E tuning, drop D or half step. As i said it’s simple but it does the job and it’s free.
