Apologies to our readers for getting the adrenaline pumping. In a previous post we reported rumors that were pointing at a Friday release but it did didn’t happen.
The new Mac OS X Lion has suffered what seems to be a minor delay.
Apparently the last minute delay was necessary in order to address a problem with the Resume feature.
AppleInsider reported: Although Apple is believed to have had some ambitions of launching Lion this week, at least one person familiar with the matter said earlier in the week that last minute concerns with one of the system’s new features (app Resumes) would likely cause a minor delay.
There’s been rumors now that a debugged Golden Master version of Lion ‘GM2′ will be launched soon with the fix for these last minute bugs.
We are very disappointed too.
A tweet from Mark Gurman’s account, suggests that the Apple Stores already have the new MacBook Air in stock, in sealed boxes and that they were intended for release today.Oh, well…this is the thing when you deal with rumors and electronics! At least we will have a better, more stable version of Lion when it releases.
Meanwhile Apple has begun approving Lion ready applications which are already showing in the Mac App Store. Here’s one, WordCrasher

Sounds true, when I was walking in the city yesterday at 6PM GMT I saw some staff of a Apple Premium Reseller installing Lion on their promo Macbook Air 11″.

Wrong!
Apple didn’t reveal the actual date, just rumors did.
So in that fact, Apple has never delayed Lion, unless they’ll suddenly change “July” into “August”, for example.

… and Apple’s attention to detail like that, delaying a launch of multiple products, over a software bug, that a certain company from Redmond Washington would have just let go and patch later with one of their hundreds of daily updates, is why the premium price that Apple commands for their products is worth every penny…

Rebel420,
Apple has one set of known hardware to develop for, one they tightly control. Microsoft have to develop for an uncontrolled open standard. You cannot compare them. I use both and find good and bad in both. Stop acting like a fool and grow up!
