UPDATE #2: It seems they are out of stock again. We’ll notify as soon as they are available again.
UPDATE: If you are looking for an iPad 1, Apple has, for the moment, restocked the $299 16GB Wi-Fi iPad, but you’ll have to hurry. Here’s the link.
Apple must have realized that the HP TouchPad sale rush, was driving potential customers away from the iPad, and decided to act upon.
Prices of Apple’s refurbished iPad 1, from its online store, have in fact being dropped for both the 16GB and the 32GB models.
You can now snatch the iPad 16GB Wi-Fi model for just $299, which is $30 cheaper than what was going for in June.
The 32GB Wi-Fi, also iPad 1 only, is going for $399 and the 64GB Wi-Fi will set you back with $499.
3G models are also available for $399, $499 and $599, respectively.
Some models appears to be already out of stock, due to the very high demand, but when Apple sees that its inventory is clearing quickly, they will probably pull out more units.
The Cupertino based company is probably trying to get rid off old inventory before the holiday season, when the costlier iPad 2 will probably become Xmas’ most wanted electronic gadget.
After Christmas, possibly around February-March, Apple should launch the new iPad 3 and by then the iPad 1 will no longer be sold.
