to the Greek website Digital Life, there will only be an iPhone 4S announced at the upcoming October 4th Apple’s event. No iPhone 5.
The publication, mentioning a 100% reliable source, confirms that the next generation iPhone will be called 4S and it will be an improved version of the current iPhone 4.
-The camera will be upgraded to an 8 megapixel
-It will be a world phone with both GSM and CDMA radios
-The processor will be Apple’s own 1Ghz A5 but dual-core
Aesthetically the iPhone 4S will look identical to the current iPhone 4, even the screen’s size will be the same and it will allegedly be available in the U.S. and other largest markets on October 21st.
This seems to match the case design leaked yesterday from Otter Box. Please don’t take this as a fact: rumors are going wild right now, but the fact that no parts belonging to the alleged iPhone 5 has surfaced until now, makes us thinking that at the end there will be only the iPhone 4S.
The analyst Brian Blair from Wedge Partners said exactly the same thing earlier last week:
“We expect the focus of the new iPhone will be iOS 5, a speedier A5 processor and a higher resolution 8 MP camera with a small possibility of a larger 4 inch screen. We believe the casing will be largely similar to the iPhone with some particular modifications to the antennae.”
