If you are a regular Apple rumors junkie, then you are aware of the 15-inch MacBook Air and the possible re-styling of the entire Air line coming for the 1Q 2012.

It’s also general believe that Apple will launch a newly redesigned MacBook Pro that will have an ultra-thin design similar to the Air.  This rendering from designer Jørgen Langevad is giving us an idea for a possible new look of the 15″ MacBook Pro.

As you can see the optical drive and the hard drive have disappeared and a flash-based SSD found his place under the hood. Langevad, from bpositive, suggests a OLED display or a LG Shuriken and a Ivy-Bridge i7 2nm processor.

I would expect something more different from the current design.
Look back at the previuos design (ended in 2007/2008) which is very different from the unibody.

Maybe black, maybe i-phone like (glass – too heavy???), maybe touch-screen, or with a touch-screen instead of the keyboard…

Who knows? I think the outcome is unpredictable…

…and can’t wait to see that

Personally, I don’t think Apple would really make the Macbook Pros much thinner, because if they do, then that’s taking away what makes the Macbook Airs special. Apple already completely stopped selling the white Macbook. If the Pros are designed just like the Airs, but more powerful, then who would want an Air anymore? If no one buys the Airs anymore, then they would likely stop being sold and that would leave Apple with only one laptop to sell, the Macbook Pro.
